Frequently asked questions
Answers about Nexudo Mail domains, plans, migration, clients, and security.
Getting started
What Nexudo Mail is and how to launch professional email on your domain.
Nexudo Mail is business email hosting for your own domain. You get custom addresses like [email protected], spam protection, web and client access, and plans that scale from solo founders to larger teams.
Yes. Connect a domain you already own and create mailboxes on it. We guide you through DNS records such as MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC so mail routes correctly.
Most teams can create an account, add a domain, and create mailboxes in minutes. DNS propagation can take from a few minutes up to 24–48 hours depending on your registrar.
No. Bring a domain from any registrar. Nexudo Mail hosts the mailboxes; you keep domain registration where it already is unless you choose otherwise.
Plan availability and free tiers are listed on the Pricing page. Choose the tier that matches seats, storage, and features you need, then upgrade when you grow.
Domains & DNS
MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, catch-all, and multi-domain setup.
You typically need MX records to receive mail, plus SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to improve deliverability and protect your domain from spoofing. The domain admin panel shows the exact values to copy.
SPF lists servers allowed to send for your domain. DKIM cryptographically signs outbound mail. DMARC tells receivers how to handle messages that fail those checks. Together they reduce spoofing and improve inbox placement.
Yes on Starter and above. A catch-all receives mail sent to unknown addresses on your domain so you do not miss messages typed with small typos.
Yes. Add and verify each domain in the admin panel, then create mailboxes per domain according to your plan limits. See Pricing for seat and domain-related limits by tier.
DNS changes need time to propagate. Confirm records match the values shown in the panel, wait for TTL expiry, then re-check status. Contact support if records are correct but mail still fails after 48 hours.
Only if DNS records are not moved correctly. Keep the same MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC values at the new DNS host so Nexudo Mail continues to receive and send for your domain.
Plans & billing
Seats, storage, upgrades, and how plans differ.
Yes. Upgrade when you need more seats or storage. Changes apply without interrupting existing mailboxes so your team keeps working during the switch.
Billing is handled in the domain admin billing area for your account. Available methods depend on your region and plan; contact support if you need an invoice or alternate arrangement.
Yes. Paid accounts can access invoices from billing settings. For Enterprise procurement or custom invoicing, reach out via Contact.
When a mailbox approaches its plan storage limit, admins should free space or upgrade the plan. Higher tiers include larger per-mailbox quotas—see Features for storage by plan.
Migration
Moving from Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or other hosts.
Migration support is available on Professional plans and above. You can move mailboxes and folders with guided steps so your team stays productive during the switch.
Most migrations are planned so you cut over DNS when mailboxes are ready. Short dual-running periods are common. We recommend scheduling MX changes during a low-traffic window.
Aliases and routing are typically recreated in Nexudo Mail after mailboxes exist. Check plan support for aliases and forwarding on the Features page, then map old addresses to new ones before cutover.
Mail migration focuses on mailbox content. Calendar availability depends on plan features. Export contacts from your old provider and import them where supported, or ask support for guidance.
Yes. Higher plans include stronger support. Describe your current provider and mailbox count on the Contact page and we will help you sequence DNS and migration steps.
Clients & access
Webmail, SMTP, IMAP, desktop, and mobile apps.
Yes. SMTP and IMAP access is included from Starter upward so you can use Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and native mobile apps.
Yes. Users can sign in to webmail for day-to-day mail without installing a client. Admins manage domains and users from the domain admin panel.
Yes. Configure IMAP/SMTP (or the provider profile your client supports) on iOS and Android. Exact hostnames and ports are shown in mailbox setup guides in the admin panel.
Yes. Add the account with IMAP for mail and SMTP for sending using the settings provided for your domain. Professional teams often standardize these settings once for everyone.
Google Auth login is available on Starter and above where enabled for your organization. Username and password login remains available on every plan.
Multi-mailbox access and a mailbox switcher are available on Starter and above so shared roles (like support@) can be managed without separate devices.
Security & privacy
Spam, encryption, 2FA, and how we handle data.
Yes. Spam protection is included on every Nexudo Mail plan. See the Security page for how filtering fits with encryption and admin controls.
Mail is protected in transit with modern TLS. Higher plans add options such as end-to-end encryption when you need stronger confidentiality.
Yes on Starter and above. Strong authentication helps protect mailbox and admin access beyond passwords alone.
We process mailbox and account data to provide the service. Details on what we collect, why, and your choices are in the Privacy Policy.
White-label options are available on Enterprise when you need branded experiences for your customers. Contact us to discuss requirements.
See the Security page for TLS, filtering, DNS authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), and admin controls. Pair that with the Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy for the full picture.
Limits & deliverability
Send limits, attachments, reputation, and acceptable use.
Attachment size limits increase with plan tier (for example from smaller caps on Free/Starter up to larger sizes on Business and Enterprise). See Features for the matrix.
Nexudo Mail is for business mailbox hosting, not bulk marketing blasts. Mass unsolicited email violates the Acceptable Use Policy and can harm domain reputation.
Publish correct SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, send only to people who expect your mail, keep bounce rates low, and stay within plan send limits. See Security and Acceptable Use for related guidance.
Blocks can happen after spam complaints, malware, or AUP violations. Review the Acceptable Use Policy, fix the root cause, then contact support with examples of affected messages.
API access and webhook events are available on higher plans (limited to advanced depending on tier). See Features for plan availability.
Support & account
Help channels, admins vs users, cancel, and export.
Admins manage domains, users, billing, and DNS in the domain admin panel. Mailbox users send and receive mail in webmail or clients. One person can hold both roles when appropriate.
Domain admins create and disable mailboxes from the users area of the admin panel, within plan seat limits. Removing a user should include an offboarding checklist for forwarding and data retention.
Cancel or change subscription from billing settings, or Contact support if you need help exporting data first. Review Terms of Service for notice periods and account closure effects.
You can typically download or sync mail via IMAP clients before closing an account. For organization-wide export help, contact support with your domain and plan details.
